Cheddar Gorge: Glow in the dark egg hunt
Rumour has it, the Easter Bunny will be making a surprise visit to Cheddar Gorge, which is only a 10-minute drive from our country hotel in Somerset. From Saturday 24th March – Sunday 8th April 2018, Gough’s Cave will be illuminated with glow in the dark Easter eggs and magical trails. Children must help find the glowing Easter eggs, which have been left behind by the Easter Bunny! Please note, this is a ticketed event. For more information visit their website.
Steeped with Victorian history, Weston-super-Mare is located on the idyllic coastline of South West of England. Blessed with miles of golden sandy beaches, a trip to this seaside town is not complete without visiting the landmark Grand Pier. The Grand Pier provides hours for fun for the family. Here, you can enjoy an afternoon of traditional seaside attractions and funfair rides, from go-karting to lazer mazes and vintage arcade games. On 7th April 2018 you could also witness a spectacular seaside firework display, with the very best views from the Grand Pier itself, for tickets and information click here.
If you want to venture a little further afield, we would highly recommend a trip to the Bristol Hippodrome. The theatre boasts spectacularly grand architecture from the Victorian era and is said to be the city’s very own West End theatre! When staying at our country hotel in Somerset be sure to check the theatre calendar, as there is always something fantastic being performed. Over the Easter period, performances include Matthew Bourne’s Cinderella Story, stand-up comedy by the hilarious John Bishop, tribute acts by ‘ABBA Mania’ and much more.
